Every year, in the beginning of may, the SAHARA RALLY GRAND ERG brings a multi-coloured, international starting-field to Tunisia: From ambitious professionals up to relaxed hobby-drivers, from high-tech prototypes up to low-budget-suzukis, no matter if 1 or 30 tons.
Professional organisation as well as varying and challenging stages have generated the GRAND ERG´s reputation as Germany´s best-organised north-africa rally. A big organising team ensure smooth execution and optimal support for all teams.
There is no need to be shy for anyone, as offroad rally-sports is open for everyone (OK – of course it makes sense to have a 4x4-vehicle) and rookies are as welcome to us as the old hands.
It is your decision, whether you want to join as a timed participant, in the challenge-class or make your experiences in the touristic tour, that escorts the rally. Attending the challenge, you´ll drive almost the complete timed stages, but under less pressure, as there is no timed ranking. The touristic trip takes a deep breath of rally-air on the one hand and offers a touristic programme through the highlights of the incomparable country of Tunisia.
No-one is left alone: whoever wants or has to cut off a part of the daily stage, is safely escorted by the organization to the next bivouac through shortcuts and is entitled to continue the rally on the next day !
Through years of rally- and desert-experience, we focus on keeping the liaison-stages for the participants as short as possible and on having shortcuts ready for the organization, especially for the medical- and recovery-teams.
To keep the driving-fun at the max for everyone, the stages are a perfect mixture of dirt-roads, dunes and real offroad. Real trial-sections are part of it as well as water and mud.
Feel the thrill before starting onto the special stages, the excitement of a neck-and-neck-race with your competitors, smell the fuel in the air, become one with your vehicle, explore your limits!
